café, tickets, passport , visa, medical expenses (illness, car accident), rich
presents, etc.
If the photo of the person you want to write to seem
familiar to you (very often scammers use the same photos on different sites to
attract victims)
If letter you get from the person you liked has
general story about her/his life, without answering to your questions (as a
rule scammers have a set of pre-written letters with standard news)
If the letter from she/he is too nice, sweet and
flattering (especially if it's only the beginning of your relationship)
If you can view only seductive photos of she/he (no
one with a family, at working place, etc.)
If the person doesn't want to meet for a long time (
with a purpose to milk the victim for money as long as it?s possible)
If she/he does not use your nave name (only 'my
friend', 'my love', 'my prince', etc.)
If she/he gives you VERY detailed instructions about
sending money via Western Union.
The name of the receiver of the money is not her own or does not exactly
match her name (for example "Pavlo" (men's name) instead of
"Pavla" (woman's name); or "Evgeniy" (men's mans) vs.
"Evgeniya" (women's name))
If she/he tells me about
her poor financial situation in every letter.
